Patlabor: The Movie 2 was directed by Mamoru Oshii and released in 1993. The theme of the movies is very political and the cover of the movie with its giant robots is pretty much misleading. The plot revolves around terrorist attacks in Tokyo during the winter of 2002. This is a very deep movie and people who are looking for actions revolving giant robots are going to be disappointed. The animation of the movies is very well crafted because its hand drawn and the camera angles are done very well. There are some scenes such as the blimp landing towards the city with smoke coming out it that are very smooth and well drawn. The music is what really shines in this movie. It has been stuck in my head for weeks after watching the movie. The movie has great haunting melodies that match perfectly with the scenes. The music goes perfectly with the theme of the story. One of the flaws of this movie is that it can’t be recommended because the story can go over the heads of many people. The movie is designed to make the viewers think of things such as the state of government and peace in the western world. I movies throws many thought provoking questions at the viewer. It is quite a complex film to follow which many issues being tackled at once and it does a great job in making the view wonder at these question. All this doesn’t mean it a bad movie, the animation and music are just beautiful and the story is quite entertaining when you get it down to its basic. The movie very few actions scenes are truly beautiful and well directed. In the end the movie is not suited for the general public, there is too much talking, the story is a little too complete and for some people there might not be enough action, but for people who are interested, it servers as food for the though. It’s beautiful and eerie.

Semester almost done

So school is almost finished, I got one week left for classes. I have tons of work to do, I have been slacking off hardcore for almost all my classes. This summer is going to be great because some of my best friends are graduating and they are coming back to New York. On the other hand, things a looking more serious. I will be graduating next year and future is right around the corner. 

Weather.

So I am beginning to think weather in lower westchester is retarded. Its been 80 for the last 2 days and 60 before that. Now its a little bit too hot for my liking.

Culture Shock

So this was technically my first culture shock at Purchase as a student. I bought some friends from home and had a great time.
And now since that is over and finals are just around the corner, its time for cunch time. I have soo much work to do for my viral marketing class and some other class. Well its mainly because I have been very lazy with almost all my class. I registered for all my classes and now i am awaiting for a Professor to get back at me so I could take this class....Digital Dimension.

Boring

So I think putting up pictures of the school and describing what they are is quite boring. So I think I might change what I do in my blog or what I post about.

Classes

So registration for classes started last week. I went to go register and guess what. I some a stupid flag on my account. I the school wants a physical from me. I have been going to school for 3 years now and non of my past schools have complained about a physical, only purchase has. So I was bascially running around yesterday trying to get it done. Luckly for me, my dad knows a doctors that he had worked for, so my dad told me to go to him. I got a physical for free...yayy.
so now I finally got that stupid hold of my account. The end :)

Change of plans.

I was going to take pictures of the hub and dining hall and put them up, but I have had a change of mind. I am in the library all the time, So I was thinging about putting up the library first. I am going to split it up into two sections because the library is soo big. So my my next two posts are going to be about the library.

Also as a note, I drive to Purchase every day. I come from Yonkers. It takes me about anywhere from 20-30 minutes to drive here. The parking lot here at the school is very big. So I usually have no problem finding parking. This is also because there are wayy more students that live then the students that drive here.

A little though about purchase.

So I been hanging out at Purchase for a while, I have noticed many things. Why do the almost all the film majors automatically grow beards and mustaches. Almost all the files majors I have seen look like they just woke up out of bed ( excluding the girls). Just a little though, although I am exaggerating a bit here.

Terra Ve

Ok Soo it did take me a really long time, here is Purchases Terra Ve. Basically this place serves no meat, so its a place to eat for students who are vegetarian. As a commuter, I usually come here to eat my food and relax. The place looks really nice. It had a good amount room for students to eat. It kinda reminded me of this diner back in Yonkers. Its a really nice place for students to come and hang out with their friends to eat and chill.

So I promise that my next posts are going to be much quicker. I am going to add the Hub and the Dining Hall next with pictures ofcourse. Those are the other two spots on campus that students can eat and relax.

What to do.

So I have been pretty lazy with this blog. Now I am gona get it up and running.
I have been thinking about how to do this blog and I got some things in mind.
I made the blog with the purpose of describing my computer experience and the
Purchase campus it self. I have decided to take pictures of the almost every part
of the campus and describe what it is that I am taking pictures off. At the same time
I am gona related it to my commuting experience.

I am going to start with Terra Ve. The next post is going to include some pictures,
and I am going to describe what Terra Ve is. So stay tuned :)
